He performed a stint with Build.com as a programmer before moving to the Bay Area. He continued his programming career working on many projects including a laser-wielding robot that he built in ‘09 that welded together tiny electronic parts.
In 2010, Roy became a programmer for PoolSuppyWorld, where was wooed by the allure of online marketing while testing an algorithmic bidding system for AdWords. He later launched the prototype of their first multi-touch attribution system and has been an evangelist for attribution, optimization, and automation ever since.
Roy has given presentations on the topic at events including Bronto Summit and the Emob. Roy is now CMO of PoolSupplyWorld, and since the acquisition, VP of Digital Marketing for Leslie’s Pool Supplies.
